i wanted to ask everyone here , what was your trigger to waking up ?
i have been waking up for a long time , but in looking back it’s hard for me to look at one event and say “ ah ha “ , i think mine is like a slow leak - like a crack in a damn - and then hold on , because after that it’s just a flood of information.
I always had questions, and in the 70's and 80's we could ask, discuss, research things, even disagree... to a certain extent... as long as you said, "well, we'll see what Jehovah does" and, you were always on a hamster wheel.
For me, my husband, two sons and daughter in law, it was 607. BAM! GONE! No more lies.
this is my first post to this site, im pale.emperor's brother:).
first of all, i've left being a jw in june.
since then my family have tried to convince me it's "the truth" and force me to go back even though it's my own decision.
Good job Dan, you will look back on this day feeling so happy to have not spent one more minute under the thumb of lies. Now, you can truly live life, breathe, explore, change your mind, play, grow, sleep in!

Thx Atlantis! Who would have known that the WT was in bed with so many political "beasts"?
WT lets poor people in Malawi die for lack of a 'political card', saying "we must be loyal to Jehovah", whilst they themselves take advantage of any and all political means to build their greedy empire.
No JWs would be any the wiser, as they 'remain separate from the world' not 'becoming involved' with the empires of Satan. So, if you are like me, when you leave JWs you hardly know anything at all about "the world", politics, passing laws or anything. It makes it so easy for the WT to take advantage of us.
WT is truly 'all business'.,,, it doesn't need 'no stinkin' library card'!
what single big change do you think could back fire and bring the cult down ?.

If there were a criminal investigation......
It would have to be something that even politicians, FBI & almost more could not ignore.
so we have all heard the worldwide reports about khalls being sold off and congregations being amalgamated etc.... of course, jws are being told that these actions are a sign of "just how much the work is progressing, and how jehovah is blessing the increase and expansion!".
i can share the following from my part of the world too!.
in perth, western australia the following has occurred.. three "new" congregations have been formed!

Wow! an article from 1997! That got by me (ok, who could keep up with it all?)Years ago, I found myself asking "Why are there so many favorable leanings in these articles towards the UN?"

This is new, 2017.
All kinds of religions from different countries were represented by their lobbyists. Scientology was there, Paul Gillies (from UK Branch) was there (tho not on video) Russia (they gave it right back to them... basically: "we went thru the process, they appealed, you can read about it") and Spain - who I thought was interesting.
Information is the beginning of freedom........ This group of political lobbying people seem like a cult themselves, parroting phrases the previous ones have just expressed. The Canadian speaker was a bit more conservative, and along with this the speaker from SPAIN, brings up a new expression that should be explored. "Freedom of thought" "Freedom to change beliefs " for the INDIVIDUAL...
It is not suppose to be about a RELIGION having freedom, but the person themselves having freedom. Right?
If this OSCE does not like it when governments prohibit people's freedom to worship as they please, why do they let religion prohibit individual's human rights to believe as they want to believe?

i am a subscriber on youtube for kim and mikey, marc and cora, susan gaskin, stacy lopez, spike r, and several others.
i recently found a channel called anonni mowse and she is just fantastic.
she is so down to earth, very educated, and speaks her mind so clearly about her being in the cult.
I agree, I really have enjoyed listening to her. I wondered if she spoke from script, or at least an outline (as at first, she spoke from a black screen- a bit of a british? accent? ) but now she has decided to go "facetime" and speaks quite well, recalling things from the past, tying things together neatly, and has great questions and illustrations. She is quite 'spot on'.
